Assistant Manager/ Manager

Responsibilities include:

Maintaining an expert knowledge on Audit and Assurance related services; lead the multiple teams on diverse client assignments simultaneously;imparting on the job training to the audit team members and act as mentors for their growth; ensure quality control/risk management policies of the firm are compiled on assignments; master audit software and data analysis tools used by the firm; ensure timely completion of tasks allocated with high quality of delivery; maintaining excellent relationship with colleagues and client management; advise clients on various technical matters relating to IFRS/IFRS for SME’s/other accounting issues; assist/lead the training initiatives; take lead in business development activities of the firm. The applicant, if selected, will be reporting to the Senior Manager/Partner.

Qualification, experience and skills:

Candidate must hold an accounting degree with BICA/ACCA/CA with a minimum of 4-7 years audit and financial reporting experience with a reputable audit firm. Knowledge of data analysis tools IDEA and financial statement preparation tool, Caseware/Caseview would be given weightage. Position will be based on the knowledge, skills and competencies demonstrated and number of years of experience, with more experienced people offered Manager position.

Competencies candidate must have:

Demonstrate in depth knowledge on IFRS and IFRS for SME's, Demonstrate excellent knowledge on International Standards on Auditing, Demonstrate understanding of accounting concepts, Knowledge of Botswana Taxation/VAT, Excellent Analytical skills, Excellent communication skills, Good interpretation skills, Excellent computer skills.
