Managing outsourcing team, providing leadership, mentoring; guidance and on the job training to team members; reviewing the financial records and statements prepared in compliance with IFRS; IFRS for SME’s and Botswana GAAP; Reviewing management accounts and preparing Management reports and presenting the same to Board of Directors; advising clients on complex accounting and tax issues; reviewing clients accounting and internal control systems and suggesting improvements; managing engagement team and engagement budgets, monitoring time booking; work in progress and debtors for Outsourcing team; developing strong relationship with the client management and other members of the firm and involving in business development activities including preparation of proposals and tender documents.
Qualification, experience and skills:
Candidate should have a professional qualification like BICA/CA/ACCA/CIMA/ICZA and a minimum 5-7 years’ relevant post experience in accounting and Taxation services. Prior work experience either in CA firm or any accounting related work would be given preference.
Competencies candidates must have:
Demonstrate excellent knowledge on IFRS and IFRS for SME's, demonstrate understanding of accounting concepts, Knowledge of Botswana Taxation/VAT. Knowledge of popular accounting and payroll packages like Pastel, quickbooks; tally, VIP etc will be an added advantage. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft products are essential requirement. The candidate should also have good presentation skills; excellent analytical skills, communication skills and good interpretation skills of financial information. Candidate should also have a proven track record of outstanding performance and display high level to people management and business development skills.
