Two stage interview
To lead tax team with the development of the business with focus on Transfer Pricing; have expert knowledge on transfer pricing to have string understanding of the OECD guidelines and keep abreast with the local and international tax practices; to create business opportunities on tax consulting work; to manage assignments; collaborate and provide assistance to the team leaders necessary for the growth of the team and firm; to ensure develop thought leadership articles for sharing with the clientele and other stake holders; conducting seminars to educate clients on transfer pricing; to ensure that work flow is properly managed within the team for effective and optimum utilisation of resources; conducting training on transfer pricing and related tax matters; coaching and developing professional and non-professional tax staff; prepare and submit proposal of tax work. A good knowledge of general tax and various tax compliance process including prior experience of developing improved/new process with reference to tax acts would be an added advantage.
Qualification and experience
Candidate should have a professional qualification BICA/CA/ACCA/ICZA or any equivalent qualification and a minimum of 12 -15 years’ post qualification experience of which at least 5 -10 years should be in handling transfer pricing. The applicant will be reporting directly to the partner in charge of Tax. The applicant must be assertive, self-driven, creative, decisive and possess multi-tasking ability and leadership qualities in order to meet up to the expectations on the job. The potential candidate should also have excellent people management skills, with strong drive and confidence to take charge of the growth of the team. Prior work experience either in CA firm or any accounting/tax related work would be given preference.
Competencies candidate must have
Expert knowledge on transfer pricing. Knowledge of international tax practices and laws, knowledge of Expatriate taxation; general knowledge of tax and VAT laws; excellent skills in interpretation of legislation & regulations are essential requirements. The candidates should also have excellent verbal and written communication, analytical capabilities. Candidate should also have a proven track record of outstanding performance and display high level to people management and business skills etc.
