Oreneile has been with the firm since 2012 as a Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) trainee and has progressed to become one of the first “Super six” BICA graduates in the country. Upon completion of her course, she was absorbed into the firm as a Senior executive and was promoted to her current position in 2020.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Oreneile worked as an Audit assistant at a small firm for one and half years. She then enrolled for the BICA qualification and opted to complete her Technical Work Experience (TWE) requirement with the firm. Over the years she has excelled in not only attaining the BICA qualification, but also gaining relevant audit experience to progress from a Trainee to Assistant manager.
Oreneile provides audit assurance services to a wide variety of clients. She is responsible for planning and completion of assignments, which also involves training juniors on-the-job.
Oreneile has been involved in the audits of parastatals, and private companies from industries such as retail and real estate. Key clients she has worked on include Botswana Open University (BOU), Afinitas, Turnstar, GH Group, Sefalana Group and Nandos Group.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Oreneile has completed the BICA qualification and is an associate member of the institute. She is also an associate member of Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), and Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Oreneile is involved in various CSR activities of Grant Thornton in Botswana, the latest being support provided to Tshwaragano Primary School over the last 3 years on Grant Thornton annual CSR day.

As a BICA ambassador, Oreneile has written mentorship articles to raise awareness about the qualification amongst current and potential BICA students.
