Yiriwaka is a Senior manager in the Assurance division with over 7 years of experience in audit assurance engagements and additionally with over 3 years of experience in accounting and finance services.
Yiriwaka is a qualified Chartered Accountant who joined Grant Thornton in 2008. She has a strong background in IFRS compliance, auditing and administration with proven success in managing and directing organizations.
Yiriwaka is involved in on-the-job training of the recently joined executives with regard to audit and software used by Grant Thornton and various other audit standards and methodology adopted by the firm.
Yiriwaka has been involved in external audit engagements for a diverse clientele including, public sector entities, mid-market entrepreneurial businesses, property management industry, manufacturing, non-profitable organisations and service industry clients.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Yiriwaka is a fellow member of the Association for Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and an associate certified professional member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA). She also holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Derby (UK) and a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree (BAcc) from the University of Botswana.
Yiriwaka is involved in various CSR activities of Grant Thornton in Botswana, the latest being support provided to Tshwaragano Primary School over the last 3 years on Grant Thornton annual CSR day.

As part of her MBA, Yiriwaka has completed a research and report on the subject of ‘Talent Management’, which has enhanced her abilities as a manager.
Yiriwaka has been a member of Grant Thornton’s corporate Toastmasters club since 2019, which has facilitated development of communication and leadership skills.
