Key responsibilities
Deliver distinctive client service

- Understand your clients' needs and put the most appropriate solutions in place.
- Act as the main contact for clients' day-to-day matters and advise them as their business changes.
- Lead client meetings to update clients on progress and respond to their questions and requests.
- Take the lead on large, technically complex clients with minimal partner input.
Deliver high-quality audits
- Keep an overview of audit planning, fieldwork and completion across your assignments, and resolve issues as they arise.
- Make sure matters that emerge during the audit and were not identified at the planning stage are properly assessed and dealt with.
- Raise any key issues that may affect the audit opinion with the audit partner, recommend appropriate action, and follow through on concerns.
- Follow the firm's ethical and risk management policies and procedures, and consult the audit manual.
- Ensure the work of your audit teams meets our quality standards, and act as a point of reference for best practice.
Lead people and help build the office
- Manage several audit teams and make sure planned audit work is completed to meet the audit objectives.
- Develop and coach your team members so they reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the growth and development of our Gaborone office.
Experience and skills required
- A professional qualification (FCA, CAPA, ACCA or CA) or equivalent.
- At least 7 years' relevant experience in audit and financial reporting standards.
- A working knowledge of audit and financial reporting frameworks.
- A proven track record of managing large audits and leading teams of professionals.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- An added advantage: a Diploma in IFRS, or a Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Internal Auditor or Information Systems Auditor qualification.
