Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant (Business Development–focused) to join our Marketing Communications and Business Development (MCBD) team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to business growth initiatives while developing a strong foundation in marketing and business development within a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Preparing high-quality tenders and proposals tailored to client and prospect needs
  • Assisting with the preparation, updating, and maintenance of proposal templates, and BD resources
  • Tracking and following up on business development opportunities to support conversion of prospects
  • Updating and reporting on business development initiatives, and client experience activities
  • Supporting firm, service line, and people profiling initiatives
  • Maintaining strong interpersonal relationships within the firm and with prospects and suppliers
  • Demonstrating awareness of Grant Thornton’s service offerings when engaging prospects
  • Supporting GTIL-related initiatives
  • Ensuring accurate time recording in the firm’s time costing system
  • Attending departmental and office meetings and events
  • Providing team and administrative support, including responding to ad-hoc requests with minimal disruption

Experience and skills required:

  • A graduate qualification in Marketing, Communications, Procurement, or a related field. 
  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a professional or office-based
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent editorial and attention-to-detail abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Strong understanding of branding guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Advanced or intermediate proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
