Ofentse is an Assistant Manager in the Business Process Solutions team. She joined Grant Thornton in 2019 as a Trainee in the Business Process Solutions team and progressed to become a Senior Assistant within the same year, before pursing an opportunity within the industry. She re-joined the firm in 2023 as a Senior Executive and was later promoted to Assistant Manager in 2025.
Experience
Ofentse has worked at KPMG where she was responsible for management accounts review and preparation of financials statements using IFRS for SME and Full IFRS. During her training period with Grant Thornton, she was responsible for the same within the firm.
Her role entails preparation of management accounts and financial statements, payroll processing and any other accounting service to a variety of clients both locally and internationally.
Sector experience
Ofentse has been involved in providing accounting and payroll services to private companies from sectors such as retail, property, education and services.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Ofentse is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and she holds a BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance with the University of Derby. She and holds a certificate of associateship with BICA as a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Technological proficiency
Ofentse has experience operating various software to execute accounting methodology, such as XERO for cloud-based accounting, PASTEL for general accounting and CaseWare for finalisation of accounts. Furthermore, she is proficient in using Microsoft Office applications to bring quality to different assignments.
Community involvement
Ofentse participates in Grant Thornton’s CSR initiatives such as recently supporting Government’s Digital Transformation Strategy within the education sector by sponsoring a state-of-the art imported tech panel – a first for public schools in Botswana. Over the years, Grant Thornton has supported various local communities paying special attention to the upliftment of education in Botswana.
In her personal capacity, Ofentse is involved in various corporate social responsibility projects including the Adopt-a-Child initiative. She is actively engaged with various charitable organisations and also donates to the less privileged in her individual capacity.
