Kaone is an Assistant manager in the Audit assurance team with more than 5 years in the field of Audit assurance services.
Experience
After completion of her qualification with Botswana Accountancy College (BAC), Kaone worked with KPMG for a period of 3 years. She joined Grant Thornton in 2015 as an Executive. Kaone is involved in executing field work for the external audit of various clients from planning section of the file until signed financials are delivered to the client, reporting directly to manager and/or partner. She is also responsible for her supervising junior staff members’ work.
Sector experience
Kaone has worked with a vast clientele as an auditor in charge, specialising in manufacturing, construction, property, retail, food and hospitality, public sector (parastatals), trust funds and listed companies. Assignments that she has been involved in include Letlole La Rona Limited, BOTC, Botswana Innovation Hub and GH Group.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Kaone has completed the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification. She is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), and an associate certified professional member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA).
Community involvement
Kaone is involved in various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of Grant Thornton in Botswana, the latest being Tshwaragano Primary School adopted in line with the “Adopt a school” program.
In her personal capacity, Kaone is currently a National Chairperson of Independent Assemblies of Botswana Children’s Ministry.
