Steven is a Manager in the Audit Assurance division with over 8 years of experience in the field.
Experience
Steven joined Grant Thornton in 2008 as a Trainee in the audit assurance division. He was actively involved in several external audit engagements whilst completing his studies. After qualifying as an affiliate of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) in 2010, Steven has been in charge of external audit assignments.
He is also involved in the in-house training of the recently joined staff and executive trainees with regard to the audit software used by Grant Thornton and various other audit standards and methodology adopted by the firm.
Sector experience
During the course of his employment, Steven has been involved in external audits assignments for a diverse clientele, involving large manufacturing, construction, trading, non-profitable organisations and service industry clients.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Steven has completed the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification, and is a member of ACCA. He is also an associate certified professional member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA).
Community involvement
Steven is involved in various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of Grant Thornton in Botswana, the latest being Tshwaragano Primary School adopted in line with the “Adopt a school” program.
Presentations and publications
Steven has been a member of Grant Thornton’s corporate Toastmasters club since 2016, which has facilitated development of communication and leadership skills.
