Grant Thornton Botswana is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager in the Marketing, Communications and Business Development department. As a manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the firm's growth and enhancing its market presence.

Responsibilities include

  • Manage a team within an office environment, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Integrate and align MCBD tools, including branding, to complement the firm's requirements.
  • Conceptualize and execute publications, presentations, and communications for internal and external use.
  • Develop and implement systems to track business development initiatives, client database management, and client experience.
  • Manage digital media platforms such as social media and the firm's website.
  • Identify prospects and perform business development activities.
  • Ensure effective completion of events and campaigns.
  • Maintain a professional image of the firm and uphold its reputation.
  • Collaborate with other teams to support firm-wide objectives.
  • Adhere to office policies and compliance standards.

Requirements  

  • Master's degree in management, marketing, communications, multimedia, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including team management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with editorial proficiency.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience in event management and talent development.
  • Ability to maintain interpersonal relationships within the firm and with suppliers.
  • Innovative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.

Desired Skills and Traits  

  • Experience with research, data analysis, public relations, and digital channel management.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite products.
  • Ability to analyse commercial implications and drive productivity and efficiency.
  • Strong team-building skills and a collaborative approach to work.
